Even so, I did say both of "us" instead of both of "me". I'd seem us as different people.
The same thing could be said merely going through the stages of my life, though. My life at fifteen was entirely different from my life at twenty-three.
You could almost say we're 'recreated' after every major life experience. That growth and knowledge is a catalyst to become someone 'new' - not just in a symbolic way, but in reality as well.
The person whose molecules got put back together will go on to have new experiences and create its own memories regardless. We all do that anyway. So, maybe it doesn't have much to do with souls at all.
You did give me a new way to see this problem and open my mind to potential solutions that could exist. I'll have to think back on similar scenarios and come at them from this new angle.
