[If Odasaku has felt any disconnect from Dazai, he blames himself more than anyone. Of course, things remaining the same would be impossible. Even if it weren't for the dizzying way in which Dazai was tossed through time, Odasaku died and exchanged those final words with him. He lost everything that he cared about, and robbed someone else of the same. There's no going back from something like that. Now that Dazai's young again, Odasaku merely assumes there's no way he could truly understand.
